Intel has made available a new HD Graphics package targeted at several of its CPUs, namely version 22.214.171.12471 (DCH), which improves overall performance in Mutant Year Zero – Road to Eden, Beholder 2, Monster Hunter World, Equilinox, and Battlefield V titles, and includes several changes.
To be clear, build 6471 improves support for 4K/1080p HDR video playback in Chrome browser, adds quality improvements in brightness and color when using HDR embedded panels, and resolves intermittent crashes and hangs seen in Battlefield V (DX11), Call of Duty Black Ops IV, and Cinema4D.
In addition to that, the update adds increases performance and image quality when CMAA is on for Games and 3D applications, adds stability improvements for PowerDVD video playback, and enables HDR support on Daisy Chained Display Port Monitors.
Moreover, Intel manages to implement performance improvements in DX12 games and applications (for Hybrid graphics configurations), fixes system hangs encountered when resuming from sleep/hibernate (in Collage mode), and adds other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.
However, bear in mind that users might still experience minor graphics anomalies in Farming Simulator 2019, as well as intermittent crashes or hangs when playing Assassins Creed Odyssey, Battlefield V (DX12), Just Cause 4, and other games.
In terms of compatibility, the downloadable archive is suitable only for the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. Do not try installing this update on other OSes even if it might seem to work at first, as this can lead to various malfunctions.
Therefore, if you want to install build 6229, make sure this release supports your system configuration, save and run the available setup executable, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.
Moreover, once finished, perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.
That said, download Intel Graphics Driver 126.96.36.19971 for Windows 10 DCH 64-bit, apply it on your system, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
